http://www.ghendennis.com Ghen Dennis is a practicing media artist working in field for sixteen years. Her work has appeared in numerous festivals and venues, including The Chicago and New York Underground Festivals, San Francisco Cinematheque, and Intermedia Arts. She has received artistic support from Film in the Cities, The Experimental Television Center, Hallwalls, and NYSCA. Dennis' work interfaces alternative film processes, non-fiction and invented content, with expanded digital technology; she recently released a DVD of experimental-bio shorts on Emma Goldman. Her work is distributed by the Film-Maker's Cooperative and is archived with The Video History Project library at the Experimental Television Center. After completing her graduate degree in 1996, Dennis worked as the Program Director at Squeaky Wheel in Buffalo, NY where she managed media labs, curated screenings, and designed artist residency projects through the NEA and MacArthur Foundation. She received her BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1991. Dennis' essays on media art are published in The Independent, Artvoice, Flaherty Seminar Journal, and in a forth-coming book edited by Keith Sanborn and Peggy Ahwesh. She was a visiting film professor at the University of Notre Dame in 2004, and currently teaches new media at York College.
