What is the Video Archive?
The archive contains information and images in the following major subject areas:
- Video groups providing equipment access, training, exhibition, residencies, funding, educational opportunities and other programs
- Biographical information about media artists and other individuals in the media arts and related fields
- Media events - exhibitions, conferences, festivals, workshops, projects, work created, performance
- Electronic tools - independently designed devices made by and for media artists and innovative uses of commercial tools, such as cameras or computers or other equipment, and in ways in which commercial devices are modified to better serve the needs of the arts.
- Bibliographic data relating to books, periodicals, manuscripts, essays, texts
- Interviews
The archive can be accessed by educators, researchers, writers, students, curators, producers/artists and others interested in video history.
