“Panasonic proudly announces a technological breakthrough: a unique ½” Time Lapse VTR designed to fit the needs of security and surveillance systems in banks, merchandise facilities, factories, laboratories, schools, wherever a continuous visual record of events for extended time periods is required. Employing Panasonic’s advanced automatic time-lapse control circuit, the NV-8020 can record up to 48 hours on one 7” reel of video tape and play back in as little as 40 minutes. Recorders set for 24, 12 and 6 hour periods are also available, or the NV 8020 can be used as a regular VTR (similar to NV 8100) at 40 minute record and playback. Exclusive Panasonic Hot Pressed Ferrite heads record with much greater precision and last far longer than ordinary tape heads. NV 8020’s horizontal resolution capability of more than 260 lines provides excellent picture clarity and detail, while its complete stop-action feature yields perfect stop-action image. Audio dubbing gives you total sound control. For playback through a conventional television receiver, an RF Adaptor is available. Tapes made on model NV-8020 are interchangeable with Panasonic NV 8100 series ½” video tape recorders. The NV 8020 is compatible with a full range of Panasonic CCTV cameras, monitors and accessories to fulfill the requirements of any recording system. No other ½” VTR can offer such versatility and high performance combined with the important time-lapse characteristic.”
