Jason Simon is an artist based in New York. His films and videos are distributed by The Video Data Bank and First Run/Icarus Films and his installations and photographs have shown in solo shows at Pat Hearn Gallery and American Fine Arts Co. His work has also appeared in The Whitney Museum Biennial, National Museum of Osaka, Neue Gallerie, Graz, The Jersey City Museum Biennial, The New Museum and The Kitchen, with 2003 selections at the Subtropics Video Festival, Miami and the Cinematexas festival, Austin. He has written for Frieze, Parkett, Purple and Afterimage and has organized programs for Exit Art, Artists Space and a traveling show of American videos entitled "Downsizing the Image Factory." He worked to establish The Art and Technology Department at the Wexner Center for the Arts from 1989 to 1991 and is currently an assistant professor of cinema at the City University of New York.
