Pierre Desir, Professor at Emerson University, is an award-winning cinematographer and filmmaker who taught most recently at Ithaca College. His feature film Zona has been screened at the Athens, Chicago Underground, Pan African and Ohio Independent film festivals, among others. He earned an M.A. in African studies and an M.F.A. in motion picture/television production from the University of California, at Los Angeles.
