Raphaele Shirley is an artist specializing in public art and collaborative interventions. She lives and works in New York City. [PAM] is her most recent collaboration. She has also shown recently in "Two Continents and Beyond" invitational for the 9th Istanbul Biennale. She's worked with Nam June Paik in the develoment and management of his laser sculptures (1997-2002), and with artists such as Eliot Sharp, Alex Haas and Brian Eno. She was a founding member of the New York International Fringe Festival, inviting visual artists, performers and undergraduates ( Pratt Univ.) to install temporary public art in the Lower East Side of NYC. She has produced and coordinated projects such as the experimental club "Show World " set in a former adult entertainment center in Times Square and "Between Dreams" by Shimone Attie and Creative Time.
