BA Colgate University MFA University of California, San Diego Artistic Director of the NY State Education Department's Summer School of the Media Arts, an intensive media program for high school students. Previously taught at Ithaca College, UCSD, and Palomar College. Prior to teaching, played a significant role in the foundation and establishment of the Video Department at Anthology Film Archives. Served as Video Curator at Anthology and at PS #1, in Queens, NY from 1979 to 1986. Also curated numerous special programs nationally and internationally. Founded, at Anthology Film Archives the first video preservation project in the nation. Film and video maker whose work seeks to extend the parameters of the non-fiction genre while exploring text/image relations. Recent work COYOTE, a hybrid, film/video evocation of trickster mythology, won awards at the New Video Festival and Black Maria Film/Video Festival. Other works have shown nationally and internationally at Whitney Museum of American Art; Museum of American Art of the PA Academy of the Fine Arts, Museo Laboratorio Di Arte Contemporanea, Rome, Italy; Exit Art; Anthology Film Archives; and Palais de Beux Arts, Brussels
